Sleepy Hollow High School art students enrolled within Ms. Dreher’s Advanced Placement Studio Art and Portfolio Seminar Classes, have recently completed paintings of the Hudson River Valley. The Paintings were originally created to help celebrate the Hudson River 400 and were first on display, during Sleepy Hollow’s Winter Concert. Ms. Dreher's art students learned to stretch their own canvases and to prepare them for the acrylic medium.~ Each student then photographed original landscapes and utilized them for reference once painting.
The paintings will now be on display from January 14 – February 3, 2009 at Hennessy Home Accents located in Sleepy Hollow. Opening reception will be January 14, 2009 from 6pm-8pm. Live music will also be performed by Sleepy Hollow music students. Please come out and support your local art students. Hennessy Home Accents – 16 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, Ny. (Open Thurs. – Sun. 11am to 5pm)
