Julia “Judy” Dolan, 81
Julia “Judy” M. Dolan, a longtime Irvington resident who lived her last 18 month at Kendal-on-Hudson in Sleepy Hollow, died February 9 after a long illness. She was 81.
A former nurse in the 1950s at a residential treatment facility for children with rheumatic fever on the grounds where the Abbott House now sits, Mrs. Dolan and her late husband, Dr. Mario Dolan, established a medical practice on Main Street in Irvington now occupied by the Irvington Historical Society.
A lifelong Democrat, Mrs. Dolan was active behind the scenes in village politics and was a big supporter of building a public pool. She also served numerous volunteer roles in her 50 years as a parishioner at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Irvington.

Warren “Manny” Crawford, 92
Warren “Manny” Xavier Crawford, a former Irvington resident, died February 2 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 92.
While living in Irvington, Mr. Crawford worked for the village and the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Dobbs Ferry, Diamond Thistle Lodge No. 555 F. & A.M., and VFW Post 2911. As a member of the U.S. Army in World War II, he served in Scotland, Ireland, England, North Africa, Corsica, Italy, France and Germany.
Richard Primps, 87
Richard B. Primps, a native of Tarrytown, died February 18. He was 87.
Mr. Primps attended Pocantico Hills School and was a member of the Washington Irving High School Class of 1941. He enlisted in the Navy after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. In 1947, he married Mary Guthrie of Tarrytown at the Church of the Transfiguration. In the 1950s and 1960s, he worked in the sales groups of General Electric and Edwards Co., specializing in the provision of electrical and fire detection equipment for large construction projects. He retired in 1986 after several years at Berger Appliance in Hawthorne. He and his wife were communicants at St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff for 56 years.
Joseph Minardi, Jr., 60
Joseph L. Minardi, Jr., a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow, died February 17. He was 60.
He is survived by three brothers who live in Sleepy Hollow, Wayne, Randy and Mark. Donations in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
