Free discount prescription cards available
To The Editor:
To offset the impact of tax hikes and the bad economy, my office is distributing free prescription drug plan discount cards that can be used for humans and pets. This card has no expiration date, can be used over and over and fills all part D and insurance gaps. The card benefits the uninsured and the underinsured the most, but is also of benefit to people on medicaid and medicare. If you have a good plan like AARP, it is not as effective. It can help save money on the prescription drugs that those services don’t cover. The card can be used in pharmacy’s all over the United States and is accepted at 80% of all pharmacies. You do not have to activate the card, don’t have to complete a form to receive the card. the cards are distributed through Community Action Network, an outreach program sponsored by the National Benefit Builders, Inc.
I have asked residents who received the card to provide me with updates. I received two recent testimonials. One woman advised that she paid $13.32 with the card. The Rx would have been $41 (she saved $27). Another constituent told me that she paid $78 for a prescription. Without the card she would have paid $154. She estimates that she will save $912 a year. If you would like the card please e mail me at pfei...@greenburghny.com. Or, stop by at my office at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave, White Plains, NY 10607.
