C-Town Supermarket Renovations Nearing Completion

Two years worth of on-going renovations at the C-Town Supermarket on North Broadway in Tarrytown are slowly coming to a close.
“The Building Department is looking forward to having this project closed out and having Broadway not look like a constant construction project,” said Village Engineer/Building Inspector Michael McGarvey.
The initial cost of the project was $613,000.00, in addition to plumbing and site work fees.
The existing size of the supermarket building, originally built in 1948, is 7,075 square feet, and the proposed size of the new, renovated building will be 10,500 square feet. The applicant, Sal Saleh of C-Town, has approval from the village to increase the size of the existing C-Town Supermarket into the adjacent store space, an area totaling 3,381 square feet, with a 94 square foot bump out in the front of the building itself.
The date of completion, McGarvey said, will “depend upon the owner’s and contractor’s expedience in construction time.” The store manager declined comment.
